This weekend has already been special, and the wedding isn’t until tomorrow. Our Heirloom Collection is my favorite offering and it’s for couples just like Olivia and Jared. Obviously their wedding day is super important to them, but they knew that it wouldn’t be the only day where memories were made. Looking forward to spending some more time with them and their families today and tomorrow!

They had a lovely Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church and an unforgettable reception at Donovan’s Manor. One of my favorite things about being a part of this process with my couples, is that I’ve been there before. I remember what it felt like when my wife and I were walking the streets of uptown charlotte for our engagement session 14 years ago. I remember the excitement of what was to come.
Now that we have kids (and I’m old🤣), I find myself in the shoes of the parents and what I have to look forward to.
Seeing my daughter for the first time on her wedding day.
Helping my son fix his tie.
Dancing with my wife after we’ve watched our kids marry their person.
That’s why your photos are important to me. Because I know how important mine were, and will be, to me.

Leading up to Ruth and John’s wedding, we talked timelines, Greek traditions, handmade crowns, and how there would probably be more people at the bar than on the dance floor. 🤣
But underneath all of the logistics were two people who were just so excited to celebrate with all of the people they love.
Every part of the day felt so intentional, and now I can’t wait for them to have an album of these memories that will forever tell their story.

What a beautiful setting and perfect day celebrating the next chapter for these two! The views, the architecture, the ceremony space. @hotel_domestique is one of a kind and there couldn’t have been a better setting for Maren & Luke.
